Frequently asked questions
We answer the most common questions you may have
Why choose a landscaper for your garden project?
Hiring a landscape designer is first and foremost about benefiting from an expert and creative perspective. They know which plants are best suited to your soil and climate, and how to combine them for a harmonious result. This way, you get a beautiful, custom-designed garden that’s perfectly adapted to your environment.
In addition, it saves you time and energy: a landscape designer helps you avoid costly mistakes, can manage your project from start to finish, and provides technical advice to address specific challenges—such as minimizing the risk of flooding or summer fires, or planning plantings along property boundaries.
Finally, an outdoor space designed by a professional enhances the value of your property!
Do we take biodiversity preservation into account?
Yes, of course! Our designs take biodiversity into account by including flowering and fruit-bearing plants, as well as dedicated areas that provide shelter and refuge for wildlife.
In short, we provide both food and shelter for the wildlife in your garden!
What are the steps involved in creating a garden?
- Meeting and Assessment: Understanding your needs and the site.
- Documents and Surveys: Plans, easements, condominium regulations, and other site studies…
- Design: Plans, sketches or 3D visuals, and selection of plants and materials.
- Approval: Adjustments based on your feedback.
- Final Package: Printed and digital book containing overall plans, planting plans, and a list of plants with the required quantities.
- Optional Site Supervision: Support in selecting contractors, overseeing the planting work, and assisting with the final handover of your garden.
Do you carry out the landscaping work yourselves?
We focus exclusively on the design and coordination of your landscape projects.
Our role is to create an outdoor layout that suits your needs and environment, and to assist you in selecting the contractors who will carry out the work.
If you wish, we can also provide site supervision and attend the final handover of your garden.
Can you help us choose the company that will carry out the work?
Yes, absolutely. We can support you in choosing the companies that will carry out your project. We also help you review and compare quotes, so you can make an informed decision.
Do you visit the site before starting the design?
Yes, an initial on-site visit is essential. This visit allows us to observe the site’s characteristics—such as exposure, soil, existing vegetation, views, and technical constraints—and to discuss your wishes and needs. This step forms the foundation for all design planning.
How much does a design project cost?
The cost depends on several factors: the size of the site, the level of detail required, and the services included (plans, consultation documents, project supervision, etc.).
Thus, after an initial discussion, we provide you with a personalized fee proposal, tailored to your project and expectations.
Do you work exclusively for private clients?
No, our services are available to private individuals, professionals and co-ownerships. Each project benefits from a tailored approach, taking into account the site’s context, use, and identity.
Can you intervene remotely?
Yes, several stages of the project can be carried out remotely, using video calls, digital presentations, and online document sharing. However, the initial on-site visit is necessary to fully understand the place and ensure the project’s coherence.
How do you manage site supervision?
Once the contractors have been selected, we provide regular site visits to ensure that the work complies with the aesthetics approved design. We also attend the final handover
How long does the design process take?
The duration varies depending on the complexity of the project, the time of year, and the responsiveness of communications. Generally, it takes between 4 and 8 weeks from the initial meeting to the completion of the design package.
What does a design package include?
The package typically includes plans (2D and/or 3D), plant selection, and possibly materials, as well as visuals or concept sketches created by hand or using CAD. It also contains a more technical dossier—such as planting plans, technical sections if needed, and a list of plants and materials with quantities—intended for companies that will handle the work.
In short, the goal is to provide you with a complete and clear foundation for creating your garden or green space.
